Kaizer Chiefs have had the entire week to prepare for this matchup with the Mamelodi Sundowns juggernaut after last weekend’s match against Royal AM was called off. The break was much-needed after Amakhosi suffered their biggest Betway Premiership defeat since the appointment of coach Nasreddine Nabi, losing (1-4) at the FNB Stadium to SuperSport United in coach Gavin Hunt’s 999th match.
That was the second occasion Kaizer Chiefs conceded four goals in a single match during coach Nabi’s 20 match tenure, the other defeat coming at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns, losing (0-4) in the Carling Knockout Cup.
